The story
England to Thailand
Most fighters in Britain train around a job. Louie moved to Phuket so he would not have to.
Biography
Twelve sessions a week, nothing to train around
Louie Doherty lost the second fight on his record. July 2023, Muay Thai Mayhem, on the cards to Abdel Kacimi. He has not lost since.
Five months later he was fighting at Patong Boxing Stadium in Thailand, and he has barely stopped. Bangla. Phetchbuncha. Fairtex. Sixteen consecutive wins, eleven of them inside the distance, against Thai opposition on Thai cards — which is the only proving ground in this sport that counts for anything.
In November 2025 he debuted on the Rajadamnern World Series, the promotion running the oldest stadium in Muay Thai. He is 3–0 there: a decision over Award Kazimba, a second-round stoppage of Khalis Muller, and a decision over Hakim Bah in May.
What comes next
A European title. On 21 November 2026 he meets Jake Newman at InFightStyle Fight League 1 for the WMO welterweight European belt — his first fight back in Britain in over two years, and the first time a title has been on the line.

The facts
Philosophy
Judged on the whole fight
Thai judging does not work the way people at home assume. Nobody is banking rounds one and two. The first round is a look, the second is a measurement, and the fight is decided in the fourth and fifth.
That changes how you train. It is not about being explosive for three minutes; it is about still being able to execute when your legs have gone and the other man knows it. Everything in camp is built backwards from the fourth round.
You do not win the fourth by being fresh. You win it by being less finished than the other man.
Career
How it happened
A career is one of the few things on a website that genuinely is a sequence, so this one is numbered by the years it actually took.

Respect
Wai Kru Ram Muay
Before every fight in Thailand a fighter performs the Wai Kru Ram Muay, wearing the mongkhon — a blessed headband that belongs to the gym, not the fighter. It is a dance of respect to the teacher and the camp, and it is not optional or ornamental.
A foreign fighter who treats it as a photograph gets noticed for the wrong reasons. Learning it properly is part of earning a place on these cards.
