Why I left England
You cannot train like a Thai fighter around a full time job. I tried for two years.

I was doing eleven sessions a week around work, and I was proud of that. Then I came out here on holiday, trained at a real camp for two weeks, and understood that eleven sessions around a job is not the same sport as twelve sessions with nothing else in the day.
The maths nobody tells you
It is not about hours. It is about recovery. Two sessions a day works because you sleep between them. Two sessions a day around a nine to five does not work at all — it just breaks you slowly while you tell people you are training hard.
What it cost
Most of what I owned, and being at home for things I should have been at home for. I am not going to pretend that part is romantic.
What it bought
Stadium fights in Bangkok. That is the whole answer.
